Emirates is expanding its international flight network by adding new daily routes to Copenhagen, Phuket, and Cape Town. The airline will operate these flights with its latest aircraft, including the Airbus A350 and retrofitted Boeing 777, offering upgraded onboard services such as Premium Economy. These additions aim to improve connectivity across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, with increased frequencies scheduled for mid-2026, catering to the anticipated rise in summer travel demand.
In particular, Emirates will deploy its A350 aircraft on the new daily services connecting Dubai with Copenhagen, benefitting passengers with on-time connections to destinations like Bangkok, Bali, Manila, Tokyo, and key African cities. The airline also plans to enhance services to Phuket and Cape Town, providing more flexible options for travelers, especially those connecting from Europe and the Middle East.
Alongside route expansion, Emirates continues to modernize its fleet by retrofitting aircraft and updating cabin classes. Beginning early 2026, the airline will operate new aircraft with upgraded cabins on routes such as Barcelona, Mexico City, Rome, and Cagliari, offering a more refined passenger experience.
Meanwhile, Etihad Airways announced its inaugural flight to Luxembourg scheduled for October 2026. The new service will operate three times weekly with the Airbus A321LR, providing a direct, premium connection to Abu Dhabi and establishing the airline’s first service to Luxembourg. This milestone reflects Etihad’s strategic focus on extending its global reach and serving new markets with state-of-the-art aircraft.
These developments underscore the commitments by Middle Eastern airlines to enhance their networks with new routes and modern aircraft, focusing on passenger comfort and strategic connectivity to meet growing global travel demand.
