Emirates has announced the extension of its heavy-maintenance agreements with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company (GAMECO), supporting its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleets. The new contracts ensure continued maintenance support through 2029, reflecting Emirates' commitment to operational efficiency and fleet management.
GAMECO, based in Guangzhou, China, began nose-to-tail heavy maintenance for Emirates’ A380s in September 2023. Support for the carrier’s Boeing 777 fleet commenced in April 2025. The extended agreement covers a three-year extension for the 777 heavy-maintenance contract, which has already seen nine Emirates 777s undergo heavy checks at the facility. GAMECO reports an average turnaround time of approximately 25 days for these C-checks.
