The ETHZilla Corporation has announced the launch of Eurus Aero Token I, a novel financial instrument that represents ownership in two jet engines leased to a major U.S. airline. The tokenization process enables smaller investors, primarily accredited, to participate in this traditionally exclusive market, aiming to democratize access to income-generating aerospace assets.

Issued on Ethereum Layer 2 networks and distributed via the Liquidityio platform, the tokens are priced at $100 each and provide exposure to lease payments expected to generate an approximate 11% annual return over lease durations through 2027 and 2028. ETHZilla acquired the engines for about $12.2 million, with lease payments collected monthly and distributed to token holders. The engines are not financed via debt, and the company has no plans to leverage borrowing to increase returns.

Market Context and Future Plans

The move coincides with heightened interest in tokenized real-world assets, which has seen asset values and on-chain holdings grow significantly. ETHZilla's CEO, McAndrew Rudisill, articulated the company's mission to broaden access to high-quality investments through tokenization, a technology that can potentially transform investment landscapes.

Looking ahead, ETHZilla intends to tokenize a portfolio of manufactured and modular home loans, a market size of around $14 billion, to further expand investor opportunities and support housing supply. Additional asset classes, including auto loans and commercial real estate, are in exploratory stages, emphasizing the company's commitment to diversifying its DeFi and treasury management strategies.

Rebranded in August 2025 from 180 Life Sciences, ETHZilla now holds nearly 70,000 ETH valued at approximately $148.4 million. It continues to trade actively on exchanges, reflecting ongoing growth and innovation within its blockchain asset offerings.
