Etihad Airways has announced its strongest financial performance on record for 2025, achieving a net profit of $698 million. The airline's revenue increased by 21% to $8.4 billion, driven by both passenger and cargo business growth. Passenger revenue surged by 24%, supported by expanded capacity and higher load factors, while cargo revenue grew by 8%, aided by fleet enhancements and a joint venture with SF Express.

The airline's operational earnings, measured by EBITDA, increased by 37%, reaching $1.7 billion. Its net profit margin more than doubled the global industry average, reaching 8.4%. Cash flows from operations approached $2 billion, enabling the airline to fund capital projects and reduce debt levels.

Strategic Growth and Expansion

CEO Antonoaldo Neves described 2025 as a defining year. The airline added 29 aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total to 127, including Airbus A321LRs, A350s, Boeing 787s, and reactivated A380s. Its network expanded from 94 to 110 destinations, including new routes to Addis Ababa, Atlanta, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Phnom Penh, Prague, and Warsaw.

Passenger transportation totalled 22.4 million, reflecting a 21% increase in capacity, with the passenger load factor improving to 88.3%. The airline also hired over 3,200 employees, including 1,600 cabin crew members and nearly 400 pilots. With a growing fleet and expanded network, Etihad is confident in maintaining its positive momentum and achieving further growth in the coming years.

"These results reaffirm our strategy of sustainable growth and financial strength," said Neves, emphasizing the airline’s continued focus on reinforcing its position in the global aviation market.
