The 2026 Business Aviation Fleet & MRO Forecast indicates that Europe's engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) market will account for 18% of the global demand over the next decade, translating to approximately $7.8 billion out of a total $42.4 billion worldwide. Analyst Antoine Fafard from the Aviation Week Network highlighted that Europe’s aircraft fleet, particularly business jets, is a key driver of this forecasted growth. The demand is expected to surge as airlines and private operators modernize their fleets with more advanced engines, which require specialized and frequent maintenance services.
Growing Fleet and Technological Upgrades
Factors contributing to the forecast include aging aircraft requiring ongoing maintenance and the adoption of newer, more efficient engines that demand higher levels of technical support. As the regional fleet expands and upgrades, MRO activities are projected to increase proportionally, reinforcing Europe's importance in the global MRO network.
