The European Commission has approved four merger transactions involving companies in the shipping, aviation, conveyor systems, and tourism sectors. These transactions include joint control of a German offshore vessel management company, a UK aircraft leasing firm, and acquisitions of French conveyor belt distributor and tourism services providers.
In the shipping industry, Fortress Investment Group, Capital Maritime & Trading, and Hayfin Capital Management will jointly control United Offshore Support GmbH, with the Commission noting limited market activity that does not raise competition concerns.
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise’s acquisition of Macquarie AirFinance Limited, specialized in civil aircraft leasing, was also cleared, reflecting the limited combined market share of the involved firms.
Additionally, Eurazeo’s takeover of Netco Group, a French conveyor system distributor, and Antin Infrastructure Partners’ acquisition of Groupe Belambra in France were approved without concern, as these companies operate in different market segments.
All four mergers underwent streamlined review processes, indicating their limited potentially anti-competitive effects in the European market.
