EVA Air has achieved the SKYTRAX 5-Star Airline certification for the 11th consecutive year, confirming its status among the world's leading airlines. The certification recognizes excellence in areas such as safety, cabin crew professionalism, aircraft cleanliness, and onboard amenities. The airline received high scores across ground services, including check-in, baggage handling, transfer operations, and lounges, underscoring its commitment to quality passenger service.
According to EVA Air President Clay Sun, maintaining this prestigious status for over a decade is both an honor and a responsibility. He emphasized that the achievement reflects the dedication of the airline's global workforce and the trust of its passengers. The airline plans to continue enhancing safety, service innovation, and sustainability initiatives, guided by its core principles of 'Safety, Service and Sustainability'.
Established in 1999, SKYTRAX's airline rating system evaluates carriers based on hundreds of service indicators, with only about ten airlines worldwide holding the 5-Star status today. In addition, EVA Air was ranked eighth among the world's safest airlines by AirlineRatings.com for the 13th year running, further strengthening its reputation for operational excellence.
The airline is also expanding its network by launching a new route from Taipei to Washington, D.C., starting June 26. This route will operate four flights per week and feature the airline's new fourth‑generation Premium Economy class. With this addition, EVA Air’s North American network will encompass 10 gateways, three with the latest Premium Economy, and a total of 98 weekly flights. These developments position EVA Air as Taiwan's airline with the most destinations and the largest flight network to North America.
