ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa has renewed key maintenance approvals from the U.S. FAA and eight African civil aviation authorities, reflecting the company's strengthened regional presence amid rising demand for business aviation services in Africa.
The certifications include approvals from Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia. The Johannesburg-based facility at Lanseria International Airport underwent thorough audits to ensure compliance with international standards on maintenance record traceability, engineering certifications, and quality control systems.
Vince Goncalves, Regional VP Africa at ExecuJet MRO Services, commented that these approvals demonstrate technical rigor and confidence from regulators across the continent. He added that maintaining such certifications is a marker of technical capability and trust from the authorities.
With over 400 business aircraft currently active across Africa, the region is experiencing significant growth in regional and international aviation activities. Goncalves noted that new aircraft are entering service, and international charter operators are increasingly positioning their fleets, highlighting Africa's rising importance in the global aerospace industry.
In addition to certification renewals, the company is advancing new capabilities, including a recently installed in-house spray booth capable of handling touch-up paintwork on components up to 1.5 meters in size. As Africa's largest business aviation MRO, ExecuJet South Africa has the capacity to accommodate up to 14 aircraft of different sizes, supporting the sector's ongoing expansion.
