The business and general aviation sectors are experiencing significant growth in maintenance and facility expansions worldwide. Recently, several new MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) centers have opened, establishing regional hubs to better service corporate jets and private aircraft.

One notable development includes Dassault Falcon Jet inaugurating a 200,000 square-foot maintenance facility at Melbourne Orlando International Airport, Florida. The facility features workshops, customer lounges, and a large paint shop, aiming to enhance service capacity for the manufacturer.
A Gulfstream-supported repair and overhaul center has also commenced operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, representing a $21 million investment and housing $5 million in spare parts.

Additionally, Bombardier announced plans to expand its U.S. service network, with existing centers in Dallas, Wichita, Tucson, Hartford, and Miami Opa Locka. In Europe, Italian MRO Atitech has opened a private aircraft facility in Olbia, Sardinia, and is targeting throughput of private jets by 2027. Similarly, Malta International Airport recently launched a regional MRO hub through a partnership with Diamond Aircraft, focusing on training fleet maintenance.

Overall, these developments highlight the industry's response to the increasing demand for business aircraft maintenance and support services, positioning manufacturers and service providers to meet global needs effectively.
