Falcon Aviation Services, a major operator in the Middle East, has announced a strategic order for 50 electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft from AutoFlight, aimed at supporting regional oil and gas operations and urban mobility. The aircraft include 15 V2000CG CarryAll cargo planes and 35 V2000EM Prosperity passenger aircraft, with deliveries scheduled for the end of 2025. This initiative underscores the UAE's commitment to integrating advanced aviation technologies into the energy and transportation sectors.
AutoFlight’s V2000CG CarryAll is notable for being the first ton-class eVTOL to attain all major airworthiness certifications, having successfully completed offshore flight tests with partners such as CNOOC and CITIC Offshore Helicopter. The V2000EM Prosperity, currently undergoing verification, aims to enhance intra-region passenger mobility, serving oil platform personnel and other high-demand markets upon certification.
Strategic Significance and Future Outlook
CEO Captain Raman Oberoi of Falcon Aviation highlighted the importance of the partnership, emphasizing their dedication to sustainable aviation and technological innovation. "Our collaboration with AutoFlight will accelerate the adoption of low-altitude air mobility solutions across the Middle East, transforming logistics and transportation efficiency in the energy sector," he stated. The partnership aligns with broader regional efforts to build sustainable, scalable, and safe low-altitude transportation networks, supporting both industrial and urban mobility ambitions.
