FL Technics Indonesia has recently obtained approval to perform maintenance on Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, marking a significant milestone for the regional MRO provider. The certification, granted in May 2025, applies to the company's facilities at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK/WIII) and Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS/WADD) in Bali. This authorization allows FL Technics Indonesia to deliver comprehensive component repair and maintenance services for the 737 MAX, supporting airlines in fleet overhauls.
"Following the recent authorization from civil aviation authorities, our local facilities are equipped to deliver high-quality 737 MAX component repair and maintenance services. Backed by a global aviation group with long-term strategic goals in the region, we combine advanced MRO technologies with the expertise of leading specialists," said Martynas Grigas, CEO of FL Technics Indonesia. The company's expansion reflects its commitment to increasing regional maintenance capacity and supporting the growing fleet modernization efforts.
Partnerships and Expansion Plans
FL Technics Indonesia operates as part of FL Technics Group, which is a segment of Avia Solutions Group, the world's largest ACMI service provider. The Indonesian facility, opened last year in Bali, has achieved CASA, FAA, and DGCA certifications and is pursuing EASA certification. The company plans to expand its Jakarta hangar from 27,500 m8 to an additional 88,000 m8, aiming to further support the region's aviation needs.
In addition to aircraft maintenance, FL Technics Indonesia offers a wide range of MRO services for aircraft including Boeing Classic, Next Generation (NG), and MAX series, and Airbus A320 ceo and neo families. The company is also certified to work on engines such as the CFM56 series, V2500, LEAP series, and PW1100G, ensuring comprehensive service capabilities for airline clients.
