Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal has inaugurated a new, significantly expanded Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) at its headquarters in Jeddah. This facility, unveiled on December 17, 2025, is designed to support the airline’s rapid expansion and increased flight operations by providing advanced oversight of flight dispatch, crew coordination, maintenance planning, and disruption management, all with an emphasis on safety and punctuality.
Flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway highlighted the vital role of the IOCC, referring to it as the “heartbeat” of the airline’s operations. The new center will facilitate the management of schedules across the airline’s growing network, which includes bases in Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh, and soon Medinah, set to join from January 1, 2026. The airline intends to operate over 100 destinations with a fleet of more than 100 Airbus A320-family aircraft by 2030.
Founded in 2016 by the Saudia Group, flyadeal currently operates around 250 flights daily, serving more than 30 domestic and international destinations across regions including Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. The airline has experienced strong passenger growth, with a 15% increase in 2024 and a further 25% rise in the first half of 2025. These developments underscore flyadeal’s strategic focus on expanding its operational capacity and network coverage amid a competitive aviation landscape.
Overall, the new control center is expected to enhance operational efficiency significantly, supporting the airline’s goals of rapid growth and improved service reliability, positioning flyadeal for future expansion in regional markets and beyond.
