Freebird Airlines, operating out of Istanbul Airport, has initiated a new daily winter flight program linking Aswan in Egypt with seven German cities. The first flight, operated by Airbus A320-200, msn 3025 (9H-FHB), arrived from Malta's Freebird Airlines Europe on September 14, 2026, and continued to Berlin Brandenburg. The network includes Düsseldorf, Frankfurt International, Munich, Hamburg, and Hannover, providing the only direct connection between Aswan and Germany, according to ADS-B data.
This expansion highlights Freebird Airlines' growing presence in regional connectivity, with a focus on serving destinations in Europe and Egypt. The airline's operations at Istanbul Airport currently include 12 daily flights covering 15 destinations.
Strategic Growth in Regional Connectivity
The new routes follow Freebird Airlines' strategic growth in both scheduled and charter services, supported by an extensive fleet and partnerships. The airline's commitment to connectivity in the region caters to both holidaymakers and business travelers seeking convenient links between Egypt and Germany, especially during the winter season. The program's success depends on demand, with Freebird Airlines being the sole carrier linking Aswan directly to Germany, supplementing regional transit options.
