GA Telesis, LLC, a notable aerospace solutions provider, has introduced its new platform, WILBUR, aimed at digitalizing the lifecycle management of aircraft and related components. The platform leverages blockchain technology to create secure, immutable records of asset history, from production to operational life, significantly improving transparency and reliability in the aviation supply chain.
Founded by Abdol Moabery in 2019, GA Telesis has developed WILBUR to address longstanding issues associated with fragmented documentation systems. The platform's innovative tokenization architecture enables parts, engines, and aircraft to be linked in a hierarchical registry, supporting complex asset management and verification processes. GA Telesis plans to beta test WILBUR in mid-2026 with participation from major U.S. airlines, aiming for broader industry adoption in 2027.
This digital infrastructure aligns with initiatives led by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to modernize how aviation data is managed and shared across the industry. Once deployed, WILBUR is expected to generate cost savings, streamline asset transfers, and improve overall operational efficiencies for airlines, lessors, manufacturers, and maintenance providers, representing a significant step forward in the digital transformation of aviation logistics.
