Recent global airline punctuality rankings reveal Aeromexico as the leading airline with a 90.02% on-time arrival rate in 2025, securing its second consecutive top position. Despite disruptions caused by industry-wide challenges and the U.S. government shutdown, Aeromexico demonstrated operational discipline that set it apart among 600 sources analyzed by Cirium.
Saudia and Scandinavian Airlines followed in second and third places, respectively, with on-time rates exceeding 83%. Notably, Delta Air Lines was the sole U.S. carrier in the top 10, ranked tenth with an 80.90% punctuality rate. Industry experts emphasize that maintaining operations and quick recovery from irregularities are key to high performance, as stated by Cirium CEO Jeremy Bowen.
The rankings also show improvements by regional carriers such as Azul Brazilian Airlines, Iberia, and Qatar Airways, indicating a broader trend of operational excellence across different markets. These results highlight the importance of consistent performance and strategic planning amidst ongoing industry pressures. The data serves as a benchmark for airlines striving to improve reliability and for passengers seeking dependable travel options.
