AKRON, Ohio – Goodyear, a prominent manufacturer in the tire industry, announced the consolidation of its global aviation operations into a unified structure. This strategic move aims to streamline its operations across commercial, military, and private aviation tire segments, fostering innovation and operational efficiencies.
Joe Burke has been appointed as Vice President for global aviation, effective 1 November, reporting directly to Gregory Boucharlat, SVP for global commercial. Burke brings extensive experience in both commercial and aviation sectors within Goodyear, and his leadership is expected to drive growth and product development in the aerospace tire market.
Strategic Significance
Boucharlat highlighted that aviation is a key strategic segment for Goodyear, with the restructuring designed to better meet the needs of aircraft manufacturers and operators worldwide. The company supplies tires to commercial airlines, defense agencies, and private aviation firms.
