Guam is set to host the annual Wings in Paradise event at the Asia Pacific Airlines Hangar in Tiyan on March 28, aiming to foster interest in the aviation industry among local residents. Organized by the Women in Aviation International Guam Chapter, the event seeks to inspire youth, students, and families to explore diverse careers in aviation through a variety of interactive exhibits, aircraft displays, and hands-on demonstrations.
This year’s edition is presented in partnership with the Business and Technology Academy Charter School (BTACS) and Aire Services. BTACS helps prepare students for technical careers with applied learning and industry exposure, aligning with the event’s goal of supporting high-demand fields such as aviation and engineering. Aire Services, a local aviation services provider, contributes operational insights and industry expertise to help the community understand the technical and skilled roles vital to Guam’s aviation sector.
Several organizations and individuals are encouraged to support the event via sponsorship, which will fund educational activities, outreach programs, and exhibits. The Women in Aviation International Guam Chapter emphasizes its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the aerospace sector through mentorship and community engagement, aiming to create a sustainable pathway for future aviation professionals on the island.
