Honda Aircraft Company has announced the introduction of the HondaJet APMG S, a performance upgrade package designed to improve the capabilities of HondaJet Classic and HondaJet APMG aircraft. This comprehensive package includes advanced avionics software and hardware, which significantly enhances processing speeds and compatibility with future systems. One key feature of this upgrade is a 300-pound increase in the aircraft's maximum takeoff weight (MTOW), allowing operators to carry more useful load.

The upgrade is available through Honda’s Greensboro Service Center and its network of Authorized Service Centers worldwide. Several pre-owned HondaJets have already been fitted with the APMG S modifications, which have received FAA certification for aircraft registered in the United States. Plans for foreign certification are underway, expanding access to this upgrade globally.

Training Aircraft Innovation

In addition to the HondaJet enhancements, Tecnam has launched the P2008JC NG, a new training aircraft certified to EASA CS-23 standards. Equipped with a Rotax 912 iSc fuel-injected engine, the aircraft offers operational cost savings with a low fuel consumption rate of 14 litres per hour and environmental benefits through a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions. It features a Garmin G3X Touch glass cockpit designed for Flight Training Organizations and aims to support modern aviation training with safety and efficiency.

"The P2008JC NG represents a significant leap in training safety. By certifying to the latest CS-23 standards, we have enhanced its safety at low speeds—crucial for initial pilot training," said Giovanni Pascale Langer, Managing Director at Tecnam.

The article also notes contact details for editorial and advertising inquiries and highlights related recent news, such as airline orders and deals in the industry.
