Hopper Technology Solutions has introduced a new AI-powered platform designed to help airlines generate additional revenue while improving passenger comfort and personalization. The HTS Seat Upgrades system includes three key offerings: Cabin Upgrades, Seat Upgrades, and Empty Seats, all connected through deep system integration and real-time AI-based pricing.

This platform enables airlines to convert unsold inventory into revenue, allowing travelers to access upgrades to premium cabins, preferred seats, or reserve adjacent seats for increased privacy. The system seamlessly interfaces with airline passenger service systems (PSS), providing a white-label or API option to fit different airline setups.

Innovative Features and Revenue Impact

The core of the platform is a price builder that dynamically adjusts offers based on current booking data, load factors, and market trends. An optional bidding feature further helps airlines manage revenue overlap and optimize offers just before departure. Airlines have reported up to a 20% increase in unit revenue from implementing these upgrades, exemplified by initial adopters like Corsair.

“Our holistic upgrade solution captures high-intent users across multiple touchpoints in the customer journey,”

said Ella Alkalay Schreiber, SVP and General Manager of Fintech at Hopper.

The launch aligns with a new report indicating that modern travelers, especially Millennials and business travelers, prioritize comfort and personalization over cost. The platform’s AI continuously learns from user engagement, enabling personalized and attractive offers at each stage of the traveler’s journey, from post-booking emails to mobile check-in.

Overall, HTS positions itself as a central element in airline retailing, combining automation, AI, and deep system integration to enhance revenue management and passenger experience.
