IBS Software has announced a strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop and deploy iRetail, an innovative AI-centric platform intended to modernize airline retail operations. This cloud-native system supports the entire Offer–Order–Settle–Deliver (OOSD) process, enabling airlines to deliver highly personalized, real-time services based on traveler preferences and behaviors.

The collaboration combines IBS’s expertise in travel technology with AWS’s powerful cloud and AI capabilities. The goal is to create a scalable, reliable solution that transforms airline retailing by embedding AI deeply into business processes, thus improving efficiency and customer experience.

Supporting Innovation and Scaling Globally

With AWS providing architectural guidance and infrastructure support, IBS plans to expand iRetail across multiple regions with high availability. The companies also intend to establish a joint R&D roadmap to introduce new AI-driven enhancements by 2027, aiming to set new standards for reliability and innovative practices in the industry.

"This collaboration marks a significant step forward in airline retailing," said Somit Goyal, CEO of IBS Software. "We are weaving intelligence into the core of airline systems to enable smarter, more personalized experiences that increase revenue and customer satisfaction."

Industry experts believe that legacy airline systems often hinder innovation due to their fragmentation. The new iRetail platform addresses these issues by providing a unified, data-driven foundation for modern retail operations, helping airlines operate more agilely and competitively in a rapidly evolving market.

IBS Software, a global provider of SaaS solutions to the travel and hospitality sectors, manages mission-critical operations across diverse industries. The company’s solutions are designed to support airlines, cruise lines, hotels, and energy companies worldwide, focusing on digital transformation and integrated customer engagement platforms.
