IndiGo, India's leading airline, has partnered with Bluebox Aviation Systems to introduce a next-generation digital inflight experience on its upcoming Airbus A321XLR fleet. The system, powered by Blueview, Bluebox’s modular digital services platform, will be integrated as a line-fit solution on Airbus’s Open Software Platform, making IndiGo the first airline in India to implement such an advanced technology from the aircraft’s first flight. Passengers will enjoy a broad range of digital services directly on their personal devices, including inflight entertainment, real-time flight tracking, and digital dining menus.
Kevin Clark, CEO of Bluebox, stated that the Open Software Platform allows airlines to harness powerful, integrated software environments by default. He emphasized that with Blueview, IndiGo can quickly provide passengers with an engaging digital experience that can evolve to meet future demands.
Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, highlighted the value of offering entertainment options on personal devices, including Indian and Hollywood films, TV shows, games, and series. The new system aims to enhance onboard passenger comfort and entertainment, aligning with IndiGo's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
This initiative marks a significant step in digital in-flight services for Indian carriers, presenting a seamless entertainment experience from the aircraft’s first flight without retrofitting. The implementation is part of IndiGo’s broader efforts to modernize its fleet and enhance passenger engagement through advanced technology.
