The Indonesian Air Force has announced plans to acquire 12 new Pilatus PC-24 jets to bolster its pilot training, air transport, and liaison capabilities. The order was placed with Pilatus Aircraft through PT E-System Solutions Indonesia, including ground support, spare parts, and technical assistance. These jets will supplement the air force’s existing fleet, which includes Falcon 8X trijets used for VIP transport and various Boeing 737 models.
The deal also involves the purchase of 24 PC-21 turboprop trainers, supported by ground-based training, spare parts, and technical support. Ioannis Papachristofilou, vice president of government aviation at Pilatus, emphasized the increasing interest from government operators in the PC-24, highlighting its versatility across different missions.
Other operators of the PC-24 include the Botswana Defence Force and Qatar Emiri Air Force. The French Navy has also taken delivery of several units since ordering the aircraft in 2025. This procurement marks a significant step in the Indonesian Air Force’s efforts to modernize and expand its operational capabilities with versatile, high-performance aircraft.
