King Salman International Airport in Riyadh has commenced the construction of its third runway as part of its expansion strategy aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. This development aims to increase the airport’s capacity from 65 to 85 aircraft movements per hour, supporting the rising demand for international and domestic flights. The project, carried out in collaboration with international firms including FCC Construcción SA and Al-Mabani General Contractors Company, underscores Riyadh’s ambition to become a leading global aviation hub.
The expansion includes the integration of additional terminals, state-of-the-art logistics facilities, and improved air traffic management systems. Once completed, the airport is predicted to accommodate up to 100 million passengers annually by 2030, bolstering its role in economic diversification and transportation connectivity in the region.

Strategic Infrastructure Investment
The project reflects a long-term vision to modernize Riyadh’s aviation infrastructure, facilitating increased international trade, tourism, and business activities, and solidifying Saudi Arabia’s status on the global economic stage.
