Korean Air has partnered with the California Science Center to display a donated Boeing 747 aircraft as part of its Korean Air Aviation Gallery. The exhibit features a retired Boeing 747-400 passenger jet, which served from 1994 to 2014, accumulating over 86,000 flight hours. The airline considers the aircraft a symbol of its growth into a global airline amidst the expansion of commercial aviation.

The collaboration aims to convert the aircraft into an interactive educational space, allowing visitors—especially children and families—to explore its passenger cabins, cargo area, and landing gear. This will enable hands-on experiences and aviation-themed exhibits designed to foster interest in science and flight.

Korean Air Chairman Walter Cho noted that Los Angeles has been a second home for the airline for over 50 years. He expressed pride in supporting the center and its mission to inspire future pilots, engineers, and innovators through this initiative. Jeffrey Rudolph, CEO of the California Science Center, highlighted that this partnership would support the creation of a unique learning environment that stimulates curiosity and excellence among young scientists and explorers.
