Korean Air has been awarded the Skytrax 5-star rating for its sixth consecutive year, highlighting its ongoing commitment to top-tier service standards. An extensive audit of its long-haul and regional routes assessed over 550 elements across the passenger experience, including check-in, lounge, in-flight dining, amenities, cabin service, inflight entertainment, and seating.
The airline earned high marks for its website and transport systems, with particular praise for its catering quality—especially on flights departing from Seoul Incheon International Airport—as well as the quality and presentation of meals across all classes. Its cabin crew was also commended for maintaining exceptional service consistency, blending traditional hospitality with operational efficiency.
Notably, Korean Air showed significant improvements in lounge services, completing a 41-month project to establish seven next-generation lounges at Incheon International Airport, along with recent upgrades to lounges in Los Angeles and New York. The airline's efforts in enhancing airport experience contributed to its stellar industry reputation.
In addition to the Skytrax award, Korean Air received multiple accolades this year, including 13 awards at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo 2026, as well as being named Airline of the Year 2025 by Airlineratings.com and Asia Airline of the Year by CAPA.
