Korean Air has officially inaugurated its new flagship lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), emphasizing a significant enhancement in premium passenger services. The lounge, situated in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, spans two levels and covers 1,675 square meters, making it the airline's largest overseas lounge. It features panoramic airport views, natural lighting, and décor inspired by Korean culture, with private suites, à la carte dining, and dedicated amenities for first-class and elite travelers.
Designed by LTW Designworks, the lounge integrates cultural artifacts such as Buncheong ceramics and moon jars, blending traditional Korean heritage with contemporary design. The space offers a variety of zones, including business areas, family seating, and refreshment zones with premium showers. The upgrade is part of Korean Air’s strategy to bolster its brand presence at LAX, a crucial hub connecting Asia and North America, with plans for future renovations at other key global airports.
Company Statements and Future Plans
"With this new lounge, Korean Air continues to elevate its services and strengthen its global presence," said David Pacey, EVP and Chief of In-flight Service and Lounges. The facility aims to deliver personalized experiences, including private suites and gourmet dining, to enhance passenger comfort and satisfaction. The airline also intends to expand similar lounge upgrades at other international gateways, including JFK later this year, as part of its broader investment in premium travel infrastructure.
