Kuwait's Civil Aviation Authority has reiterated the importance of travelers providing accurate personal contact details when making flight reservations. Abdullah Al-Rajhi, Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, emphasized that passengers should supply their own phone numbers and email addresses, whether booking directly with airlines or through travel agencies. The authority prohibits the insertion of third-party contact information to ensure direct and reliable communication.
This directive is based on Circular No. 31 of 2025, which mandates airlines and travel agencies to record correct passenger contact data. The initiative aims to ensure timely delivery of notifications related to delays, cancellations, or security alerts, thereby enhancing passenger safety and experience.
Travelers can report issues with their contact details through the Sahl platform by accessing the 'Civil Aviation' section, selecting 'Electronic Services,' and completing the complaint form. The Civil Aviation Authority will review these reports and take necessary actions according to the applicable regulations. The emphasis on accurate contact information reflects a broader effort to bolster communication and safety measures within Kuwaiti civil aviation.
