In Kayah State, authorities have resumed preparations for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, focusing on reopening basic education schools that were previously closed due to security concerns. On a recent visit, the Chief Minister U Aunt Maw, along with officials, inspected the ongoing cleaning and renovation efforts at schools within Loikaw Township.
The officials emphasized the importance of ensuring that the schools are fully prepared with necessary repairs and furnishings before classes resume. They also coordinated efforts to supply essential resources such as furniture and clean water to the schools requiring support.
Advancement of Aviation Youth Training
During the visit, the Chief Minister also toured the Institute of Sports and Physical Education in Loikaw, where they met with trainees of the Basic Aviation Youth Training No.10. The training, which took place over three weeks at the Loikaw camp, aimed to enhance youth skills in aviation and will continue in camps located in Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon for an additional two weeks. The training involves 55 trainees and six administrators from Kayah State, who were encouraged to adhere strictly to safety and discipline regulations to maximize their learning experience.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to fostering youth development and supporting aviation-related skills, vital for regional progress and integration. The ongoing efforts aim to ensure a smooth transition back to normalcy for educational institutions and to provide meaningful opportunities for young individuals in the sector.
