Airports of Kyrgyzstan JSC, the main operator of airports including Bishkek, has announced an auction for five retired aircraft. The lot includes three Yak-40 jets, an Ilyushin Il-18V turboprop, and a Boeing B737-200, all stored at an unpaved area at the country’s primary airport.

The auction, seen through a tender notice, is open until January 13, 2026, with results scheduled for January 14. The Il-18V, listed as the highest-priced asset, is valued at a starting price of approximately USD85,000, with a versatile layout option for passengers or VIP use. It was last operated by the now-defunct Anikay Air.

The B737-200, costing about USD40,000 in starting bid, is maintained in a partially cannibalized state, missing key instruments. Its last service was with Intal Air, which is also out of business. The Yak-40s include one complete aircraft and two missing engines, with starting bids ranging from USD12,800 to USD14,400. All aircraft have been deregistered as of late 2025.

Interested buyers are required to deposit 10% of the bid amount, with auction prices increasing in 5% increments. The auction provides an opportunity to acquire these retired aircraft, some of which have historical significance within the Kyrgyz aviation industry.
