Lee Air Completes Acquisition of Advent Aircraft Systems and Expands Operations in Wichita

Lee Air, a family-owned engineering and manufacturing company based in Wichita, has acquired the assets of Advent Aircraft Systems, a Tulsa-based firm. The deal, which was finalized on December 31, 2025, has not disclosed financial terms. Following the acquisition, Lee Air plans to relocate Advent Aircraft Systems to Wichita to consolidate its operations in an 85,000-square-foot facility.

Lee Air specializes in engineering and building systems, actuators, and other aviation products. Molly McMillin, a veteran aviation journalist, reports that Lee Air's expansion reflects ongoing growth in the business aviation sector amidst a recovering market. The company’s president expressed confidence that the acquired assets will bolster Lee Air’s capabilities and market reach, supporting their future growth plans.

The acquisition underscores Wichita’s reputation as a hub for aerospace and aviation manufacturing.
