Amadeus has been selected as a strategic technology partner by the Lufthansa Group to deploy a suite of innovative airline retailing solutions aimed at transforming customer experience and operational efficiency. The partnership will see nine airlines, including Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, and Swiss, adopting Amadeus Nevio, a flexible modular platform designed to support modern airline operations.
Integral to this initiative is the implementation of Delivery Management, which promises to redefine the passenger journey through data-driven, personalized services. The solution seamlessly integrates with other Amadeus modules such as Offer and Order Management, enabling the airlines to manage their full customer journey within a unified digital platform.
Transforming Airline Retailing and Passenger Experience
This collaboration emphasizes standardizing the industry shift toward IATA's Order standard. The Amadeus Order Management system will serve as the backbone for managing all aspects of traveler transactions—covering flights, ancillaries, and third-party services—within a single, streamlined record. Such a move aims to replace traditional tickets and Passenger Name Records, ushering in a new era of airline retailing.

Additional features like the digital Journey Pass and fulfillment tracking will allow passengers to be recognized at key journey points and facilitate intuitive disruption management. The Lufthansa Group expects to be the first to adopt Delivery Management, positioning it at the forefront of industry innovation.
Decius Valmorbida, President of Travel at Amadeus, highlighted that this project constitutes the largest deployment of Nevio to date, emphasizing the open and modular nature of Amadeus’ technological solutions to meet Lufthansa's specific needs for a seamless, end-to-end travel experience.
