The Lufthansa Group is embarking on an extensive digital transformation, partnering with Amadeus to implement the Nevio platform designed to improve operational efficiency and personalise passenger services. The deployment will include Amadeus Delivery Management, which aims to redefine the passenger experience through data-driven and seamless operations. This initiative will involve nine airlines within the group, including Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, and Swiss, each able to adapt the technology at their own pace.
central to this development is the adoption of IATA standard orders, streamlining the management of flights, ancillaries, and third-party services within a single digital record. This approach replaces traditional paper tickets and Passenger Name Records, paving the way for modern airline retailing. Additionally, the platform integrates Amadeus Product Catalogue and Stock Keeper to expand offerings and improve availability accuracy, ultimately increasing customer satisfaction.
Executive Perspectives
"We are excited to partner with Amadeus to advance the development and implementation of an innovative order technology and to further improve the travel experience for our customers," said Tamur Goudarzi Pour, the airline group's strategy EVP. Meanwhile, Decius Valmorbida, president of travel at Amadeus, highlighted that this project is an industry first that will enable features like a digital Journey Pass and fulfilment tracking, recognizing passengers at key journey points and supporting disruption management.
