Lufthansa Airlines has announced the launch of a new nonstop flight service between Kuala Lumpur and Frankfurt, scheduled to commence from October 25, 2026. The route will operate five times weekly, providing a vital connection in Southeast Asia and reinforcing Lufthansa's commitment to regional growth.
The service will be operated using the airline's latest Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 287 seats across three classes and outfitted with the new Allegris cabin for enhanced passenger comfort. Flight LH 704 departs Frankfurt at 9:30 PM and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 4:40 PM the following day, while the return LH 705 departs Kuala Lumpur at 11:55 PM and arrives in Frankfurt at 6:00 AM.

Jens Ritter, CEO of Lufthansa Airlines, highlighted that the new service aligns with the airline's strategic focus on growth in Southeast Asia and will facilitate connectivity for both leisure and business travelers. Malaysia's tourism industry, with over 42 million visitors in 2025, and its economic ties with Germany, with over 700 German companies operating there, underpin the significance of this route.
This service positions Frankfurt as Lufthansa’s third destination in Southeast Asia, alongside Bangkok, Singapore, and Phuket, and provides a direct link for travelers within the airline’s extensive global network.
