The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has officially inaugurated a new state-of-the-art aircraft painting and grinding center developed by Lufthansa Technik Middle East on March 25. This new facility aims to enhance component repair capabilities, supporting structural and composite repairs for airlines operating in the region.
CEO Ziad Al Hazmi emphasized that the expansion will improve efficiency and customer satisfaction by reducing turnaround times. Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, identified this development as a key milestone in Dubai's pursuit of its goal to become the world's leading aviation hub.
The center incorporates advanced curing and drying technologies designed to optimize maintenance procedures. Lufthansa Technik Middle East, based in Dubai, provides an array of services including support for Airbus and Boeing aircraft, and logistics solutions, reinforcing the region's growing importance in aerospace support.
Industry expert Ella Nethersole highlighted that this initiative aligns with Dubai’s strategic plans to attract global aerospace investments and talent, positioning Dubai South as a key aerospace hub in the Middle East. Overall, the new facility strengthens Dubai’s reputation as a center for innovative aircraft maintenance technologies.
