Malaysia Airlines has received the prestigious accolade as the Best Airline Staff in Asia at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, emphasizing its dedication to delivering exceptional customer service across Asia. The airline’s cabin crew also earned a top-three spot globally, rising five places from the previous year, signifying recognition of their professionalism and dedication.
According to the airline, this achievement is the result of comprehensive investments in staff training, service standards, and onboard experience enhancements, which have contributed to improved global rankings. Notably, Malaysia Airlines debuted at 18th in the World’s Best Business Class Airlines and moved up to 11th in the World’s Cleanest Airlines. It also maintained a strong position as a leading carrier in Asia and achieved a ranking of 21st for the World’s Best Airline.

Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, President and Group CEO of Malaysia Aviation Group, highlighted that this recognition is a collective achievement, reflecting the efforts of the airline's employees across various operational areas. He stated, "This recognition is a reflection of the collective efforts of our people across the airport, onboard and behind the scenes, who come together every day to deliver Malaysian Hospitality throughout the customer journey."
Recent initiatives include expanding hospitality training programs, refreshing cabin grooming standards, and personalizing onboard services such as Pilot Farewell Greetings. The airline has also enhanced its in-flight menu with new dishes and plans to expand its fleet to support future growth, targeting a fleet of 117 aircraft by 2035. These efforts are part of Malaysia Aviation Group’s long-term strategy to establish itself among the world’s top ten global airlines by 2030, as it continues to elevate its service standards and operational performance.
