Malaysia Airlines has received the distinction of being named the Best Airline Staff in Asia at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The airline's cabin crew ranked among the top three globally, reflecting ongoing efforts to elevate service standards.
In addition to this recognition, Malaysia Airlines has made notable progress in various international rankings. The airline moved up to 21st place in the world's best airlines and ranked second in airport services category, demonstrating the effectiveness of its strategic improvements.
Strategic Developments and Future Goals
The airline’s progress springs from dedicated service enhancements, fleet upgrades, and network expansion. Malaysia Aviation Group’s president and CEO, Captain Nasaruddin A Bakar, highlighted that this achievement acknowledges the collective efforts of staff across all customer touchpoints, emphasizing Malaysia’s hospitality values. The airline is also focused on fleet renewal, with plans to operate 117 modern aircraft by 2035, aiming to support ongoing growth and service excellence.
Further, operational performance remains strong, with on-time performance exceeding targets with an average of over 91%, contributing to the airline’s ambition to be among the top 10 global carriers by 2030.
