SINGAPORE, Oct 9 — Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) is enhancing its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and engineering capabilities through seven strategic partnerships with international aviation, engineering, technology, and logistics firms. These collaborations aim to improve fleet reliability, operational resilience, and promote long-term MRO growth.
MAG President and Group CEO Captain Nasaruddin A Bakar stated that these partnerships combine global expertise and supply chain support with MAG's engineering strengths, enabling better support for its airlines and creating growth opportunities for the MRO sector. The alliances, announced during the MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 event in Singapore, include Thales, Airbus Flight Hour Services, Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance, The Boeing Company, and Collins Aerospace.
These collaborations focus on enhancing the availability of critical components, supporting maintenance planning, and improving engineering responsiveness. Additionally, the partnership with CEVA Logistics bolsters supply chain support, while the expanded cooperation with Batik Air Malaysia strengthens MRO services offered to external airlines.
This initiative reflects MAG’s strategic move towards establishing a resilient, integrated MRO and engineering platform, fostering greater efficiency and reliability in its operations.
