Base Maintenance Malaysia (BMM) is expanding its aircraft maintenance operations in Subang, Kuala Lumpur, with the addition of a third hangar. The company aims to serve third-party airlines and enhance Malaysia's position in the global maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) industry. Currently operating from Hangar 2 with capacity for three aircraft, BMM expects to double that capacity to six once Hangar 3 is completed between 2026 and 2027. The company primarily services aircraft from Singapore Airlines and is preparing to take on international clients later this year.

BMM is equipped to handle C-checks, heavy maintenance, and cabin retrofit works, with plans to include Boeing B787 repairs by 2027-2028. Despite geopolitical tensions, BMM affirms steady operations supported by regional supply chains and pent-up post-pandemic demand for MRO services.
