MASkargo is planning to establish a joint cargo business involving Qatar Airways Cargo and IAG Cargo, aiming for a launch in the latter half of 2026. The chief executive, Mark Jason Thomas, disclosed this plan at the Cargo Facts Asia 2026 conference, indicating that the agreement is in its final stages before implementation.

The joint venture was initially announced in April 2025, with an original target to start operations by late 2025, pending regulatory approvals. The partnership seeks to create a seamless cargo network across key continents, providing customers with integrated routing options and coordinated capacity planning, thereby improving efficiency and service diversity.
