ACIA Aero Leasing has delivered an ATR 72-600 aircraft on lease to Chingis Airlines Unity, a Mongolian carrier owned by the NOMIN Group, one of the country’s leading private conglomerates. Established in 1992, the NOMIN Group has diversified its business into retail, finance, construction, and aviation, playing a significant role in Mongolia’s economy.
The airline aims to improve regional connectivity across Mongolia’s vast and sparsely populated landscape, leveraging the ATR 72-600’s capability to operate into unpaved runways, particularly in support of the mining sector’s growth. The aircraft’s rugged performance enables operations in extreme weather conditions, from Ulaanbaatar’s cold climate to the Gobi Desert’s heat.
Strategic Focus on Mongolia’s Regional Air Services
