National Airlines has announced the delivery of its first Boeing B777-200F freighter, marking a significant addition to its fleet. The aircraft was delivered at Boeing’s Everett headquarters and is the first of four ordered during the Farnborough International Airshow in 2024. The aircraft, registration N791CA, is expected to commence operations shortly.
The new B777-200F offers a range of approximately 4,970 nautical miles and can carry a maximum payload of 102 tonnes, providing increased capacity for the airline’s cargo services. The airline, based at Orlando Sanford, currently operates a diverse fleet that includes A330s, B747s, B757s, and a Falcon 7X, and aims to strengthen its position as a US cargo carrier.
Strategic Fleet Expansion
The order for four freighters was placed during the Farnborough Airshow, reflecting the company's growth strategy and commitment to expanding international and domestic freight operations. The delivery of the first B777-200F exemplifies the airline’s plans to modernize and enlarge its cargo fleet, which is crucial for meeting rising logistics demands.
