Finland Grants Significant Tax Incentive to Norwegian E-Fuel Producer

Norsk e-Fuel, a Norwegian-based company focused on renewable aviation fuels, has secured a €150 million (approximately $175 million) tax credit from Business Finland, the country’s government agency supporting innovation and technology. This financial support is designed to offset taxes for its Finnish subsidiary, Norsk e-Fuel Rauma.

The project, named Rauma, involves the development of a large-scale electro-sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) production facility in Finland, aiming to contribute significantly to the airline industry’s decarbonization efforts. The facility will produce sustainable jet fuel using renewable electricity and carbon capture technology, aligning with global climate goals.

This investment underlines Finland's commitment to becoming a leader in sustainable aviation fuels, and demonstrates strong support for innovative clean energy projects. Norsk e-Fuel is expected to utilize the funding to advance its operational plans and commence construction on the facility.
