The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman is convening a specialized workshop focused on the development of the country's National Air Navigation Plan. The event, scheduled for December 15 to 18, 2025, in collaboration with ICAO’s Middle East Regional Office, aims to align Oman’s air navigation strategies with international standards and regional frameworks.

Experts and aviation stakeholders from the Middle East, including representatives from air navigation service providers, airport operators, and national airlines, are participating in this initiative. The workshop provides a platform for exchanging best practices, technical insights, and fostering institutional coordination among industry actors.

Strategic Focus Areas

Key topics discussed during the workshop include enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and security in air navigation, as well as promoting environmental sustainability and expanding airspace capacity to accommodate increasing global air traffic. The CAA emphasized that this effort is part of Oman’s ongoing modernization of its air navigation infrastructure and strategic planning for sustainable growth.

By hosting this workshop, Oman aims to reinforce its position as a regional aviation hub and demonstrate its commitment to developing a resilient, safe, and sustainable civil aviation sector that supports broader national development objectives.
