Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport is set to increase its flight connections to Antalya for the upcoming summer season in 2026. The airport announced that the Turkish Mediterranean destination will be served daily through a collaboration of airlines including SunExpress, Pegasus Airlines, and Freebird Airlines. This enhancement responds to sustained high demand from the regional catchment area, which encompasses East Westphalia, South Westphalia, and nearby Hesse regions.
These airlines have upgraded their fleets, primarily using Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A320 aircraft, each with a capacity of approximately 180 to 189 seats. The multisource airline cooperation improves service consistency for tourists and fosters competitive pricing at Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport. Alongside Antalya, the summer schedule includes popular destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Crete, and Rhodes, although the daily Turkish flights continue to form the backbone of seasonal flight activity.
The strategic increase in capacity is supported by the ongoing recovery of the tourism sector and expanded infrastructure at Antalya Airport. The efficient airport processes and short transfer times benefit regional tourism operators, bolstering economic growth during peak months. The collaboration among multiple airlines aims to meet rising passenger numbers while maintaining high-quality service, ensuring Paderborn remains a competitive hub in the region.
