Philippine Airlines has introduced a new nonstop service between Manila (MNL) and Toronto Pearson (YYZ) using the Airbus A350-1000, one of the world's longest commercial flights. Commencing on June 5, 2026, this route covers approximately 13,200 kilometers and operates three times weekly, offering a modern and efficient connection for travelers.

The airline's second Airbus A350-1000, delivered on May 29, 2026, is part of a broader expansion plan to improve ultra-long-haul options. The flight features 382 seats across three cabins: 42 Business, 24 Premium Economy, and 316 Economy, in a configuration designed for maximum efficiency and passenger comfort for the approximately 15-hour journey.

During the 2023 Paris Air Show, Philippine Airlines ordered nine Airbus A350-1000 aircraft to bolster its long-distance fleet under its "Ultra Long Haul Fleet" initiative. The aircraft's advanced range and capacity enable PAL to better match demand on long routes such as Manila to North America, while benefiting from improved fuel efficiency.

Captain Stanley K. Ng, President and COO of PAL, noted that the A350-1000 allows the airline to optimize capacity on its most demanding routes. Airbus representatives highlighted the aircraft's industry leadership in long-range capabilities, with its introduction reaffirming PAL's strategic fleet modernization and route expansion plans. Additional destinations are expected to be announced as more aircraft are delivered in the coming years.
