On October 7, 2026, Phoenix East Aviation (PEA), a Florida-based flight training academy, participated in the United Aviate Network Leadership Summit held at United Airlines’ Flight Training Center in Denver. This event allowed PEA leadership to engage directly with United’s extensive pilot training infrastructure, highlighting opportunities within the airline’s career development pathway.

The Denver facility, regarded as the world’s largest airline-owned flight training center, features up to 52 full-motion flight simulators and 34 fixed training devices following recent expansion. Operating around the clock, the center can train over 800 pilots simultaneously, underscoring United’s commitment to pilot development.

Partnership and Training Opportunities

Phoenix East Aviation is a recognized participant in United’s Aviate program. Eligible students and instructors at PEA can apply for the program, which offers conditional job offers as United First Officers upon acceptance, alongside pilot coaching and additional benefits as they meet Aviate requirements.

United’s Aviate network includes numerous universities, flight schools, Part 135 operators, and United Express carriers, offering multiple gateways toward a United flight deck career—

The academy, operational since 1972, has a fleet of over 70 aircraft including Cessna 172s, Piper PA-34s, and a Super Decathlon for upset recovery training. Previous reports indicate PEA joined the Aviate program in 2022, establishing a structured career pathway for its students and staff. The recent engagement at PEA’s Daytona Beach campus was detailed in September 2026 reports.

This collaboration reflects the ongoing efforts to streamline pilot training and recruitment, supporting aviation industry growth and pilot supply chain sustainability.
