Platinum Equity has announced it will sell Unical Aviation Inc., a leading global aerospace aftermarket solutions provider, to Satair, an Airbus subsidiary. The deal concludes a four-year period during which Unical underwent a comprehensive transformation aimed at modernizing operations and expanding its global footprint. Since its acquisition in 2021, Platinum invested heavily in leadership, technology, and inventory diversification, turning Unical into a more competitive and resilient company.
"Our efforts at Unical have focused on leveraging advanced technology, expanding global capabilities, and optimizing operations," said Jacob Kotzubei, Co-President of Platinum Equity. "This sale to Satair reflects the success of these initiatives and our ongoing commitment to helping family- and founder-owned businesses reach their full potential."
Unical's CEO Sharon Green expressed pride in the company's progress, stating, "This milestone highlights the dedication of our employees and the value created through our partnership with Platinum. We look forward to continuing our growth as part of Satair."
The transaction, expected to close in early 2026, is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. More information about Unical and the sale can be found through official press releases and company websites.
