Porter Airlines has achieved a significant milestone with the delivery of its 50th E195-E2 aircraft, representing a major step in its fleet expansion and international market growth. The airline's substantial order includes 75 aircraft with options for 25 more, potentially increasing its fleet to 100 jets. This expansion facilitates the addition of new routes within Canada and to destinations across Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America.

Michael Deluce, President and CEO of Porter Airlines, stated that integrating the E195-E2 into their fleet aligns with the company's focus on delivering a superior passenger experience. The aircraft is celebrated for its operational efficiency, passenger comfort—including onboard Wi-Fi and the absence of middle seats—and its environmental benefits. This aligns with Porter’s strategic goal to offer high-quality service while expanding its reach.

About the E195-E2

The E195-E2 is the most advanced model in Embraer’s E-Jets E2 family, delivering up to 29% lower fuel burn compared to first-generation E-Jets and capable of flying approximately 3,000 nautical miles. Its range enables nonstop routes across North America and to sun destinations, supporting Porter’s expansion initiatives and strengthening its regional presence.

“The delivery of our 50th E195-E2 marks a new stage in Porter’s growth and its commitment to elevating the passenger experience,”

said Nigel Patterson, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Embraer Commercial Aviation.

As Porter continues to grow and add new destinations, the E195-E2 will play a crucial role in enhancing its operational capacity and customer satisfaction. The milestone signifies the airline’s ongoing evolution as a regional and international carrier built on modern, efficient aircraft and passenger-centric service.
