Qatar Airways has announced it will operate a limited schedule of special flights in the coming days. This decision follows a temporary authorization from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, allowing the airline to open limited operating corridors amid ongoing restrictions on Qatari airspace. The carrier described the airspace situation as "beyond our control" and emphasized that full commercial operations will only resume once the airspace is fully re-opened and deemed safe by regulators.
To assist passengers affected by the disruption, Qatar Airways is organizing point-to-point flights and is contacting eligible travelers directly. Customers are advised to monitor the airline’s official channels for updates and availability. The airline also confirmed that passengers holding confirmed tickets between February 28 and March 28, 2026, are eligible for refunds or free rebooking forms of flexible policies that extend travel options up to April 30, 2026.
The airline stressed that passenger safety and wellbeing are the top priorities and urged travelers not to go to airports without a confirmed ticket. The ongoing situation highlights the regional impact of the airspace closure and the airline’s efforts to maintain operational continuity through limited corridors and flexible policies during this period.
