The RotorTech Vertical Flight Exposition concluded in Brisbane with a record number of participants for the third consecutive year, confirming its status as a leading gathering for rotorcraft and advanced air mobility in the Asia-Pacific region.
During the event, Australian Flying engaged with key industry stakeholders, including CASA, Flight Store, Garmin, World Fuel, and AvPlan. The exposition featured extensive displays, conferences, and networking activities, drawing 125 exhibitors from 21 nations—a notable increase from 2024—and saw a 200% rise in sponsorship activities.
Event Highlights and Industry Growth
Participants interacted with 21 static aircraft and technology displays, attended 41 conference and speaker sessions, and took part in 12 networking events throughout the week. The final day featured Careers Day, where 52 local school students from Benowa State High School’s aerospace program engaged directly with industry representatives. Additionally, winners from the National Student Challenge enjoyed joy flights over the Gold Coast.
The event highlighted the growing integration of traditional helicopter operations with emerging advanced air mobility sectors, with crossover sessions from the Australian Helicopter Industry Association Conference and the AAM Summit, organized by the Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems.

The exposition is scheduled to be held at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane from 16 to 18 May 2028, reflecting ongoing sector growth and innovation.
